With public folder archiving, is there a way to copy items into EV without the need for stubbing? Ideally we would just like to move our public folder data into the vault so that it's discoverable if needed

I have run dtrace on archivetask, but nothing really stuck out at me. This occurs when I run an archive task on any user's mailbox.
I am also receiving an Event 41291 on the status check, "It is more than 2 days since any archive-enabled mailboxes on Exchange Server Exchange were scanned for new archive eligible items.

FSA appears to be timing out trying to run FSA task and also fsautility
I need a solution
I am trying to migrate some PHs and getting an error that the file server is not reachable. I get a similar error when running the FSA task but can browse to the file server and share in question takes about 20 seconds to view the share but it is there, seems like a timeout issue, can that be adjusted to allow for more time to see the share? If anyone has seen this or has a suggestion please let me know? PHs recall fine so I know that the two server can talk..

Best Practice & Recommendation in migrating EV VaultStore before EV 10 upgrade ?

Hi people,
Before Upgradingto EV 10, My company already purchased EMC DataDomain and have provisioned 40 TB of CIFS share to use.
I have EV 9.0.4 which currently running all of the 22 TB EV VaultStore on top of Block Storage as 20 Windows NTFS drives, so I've been using almost every single alphabet letters :-)
- What would be the correct sizing for the CIFS share for the entire 22 TB VaultStore ?
- How can I migrate all of the VaultStore to the CIFS share without affecting users / eg. downtime ?
- The index must stay in the block sotrage or in the existing Windows NTFS drive, is that the case or can it be migrated as well to CIFS share ?
Any kind of assistance and comment would be greatly appreciated.

Outlook 2010 freezes while trying to open archive items
I need a solution
Hi All,
One of my user is having issue once he open archive items in Outlook. Outlook freezes for arround 10-20minutes and sometimes need to close then re-open outlook. User is having an issue when his mailbox is in Exchange 2003 and EV 8. He still encounters the issue after his mailbox was migrated to Exchange 2010 SP3 RU4 and EV 10.0.4
We've tried to set his account on other computer but same issue was encountered. By the way, the issue is not happening all the time. It is just intermittent.
Hope someone could help us on this.

Reinstall Exchange Server (Mailbox Role)

Hi all,
I had a problem with an Exchange 2010 Mailbox server that I had to reinstall, I have all mailbox in a DAG environment (3 copies), so I move all the mailbox database to other server, removed the copy from the broken server an reinstall it. Now when ever I get this error:

Can anyone confirm this is the way to go?
I'm think I have to take this action:
Activate the database on other server, run Provisioning Task, remove server and add again the server.

FSA - .jpg files not archiving
I need a solution
Hello
the folder policy is successfully archiving variious file types
last week I added a new rule specifically for .jpg files :-
folder policy - rules - new rule - .jpg
(see attached)
I guess I could just add .jpg to an existing rule but wanted to keep jpg separate.
Any how the event logs show a successful start and completion 40983 and 40987
Is there a log file or report I can view to identify the cause of failure here

Retention Tags act like Managed folders?
I need a solution
We have a client that is using evault 10 with exchange 2007 and wanting to move to Exchange 2013.
We are not sure how his scripts are going to act with the retention tags, Have not gotten to experience EVault and 2013 yet.
the question is can you get a folder to auto tag it's contents?
We just want to see how close we can get tags to resemble manage folders because with the scripting that is currently done is items such as this folder is only 60 day retention, this is 2 year, this is forever for legal hold.
From how we are looking at things, it seems so user driven and with his current exchange 2007 he has everything scripted out.
it's just going to be "tag it" instead of move to this folder and the users will have to be educated, and they can still do "this folder has this tag" but the users will have to set it up, i don't see a way to push that out, is there?
can anyone give any insight?

Intermittent Retrieval of Document
I need a solution
I have a customer who has an issue retrieving documents. It's not constant. She will login to Clearwell, pull up the document list and messages will start giving her the error message [#10025] Mwssage referred by a URN could not be retrieved. We then logged in as the service account used for retrieval to the Clearwell appliance and was able to access the directory path. We then went back to Clearwell and we were able to retrieve the contents.
It works one minute then it doesn't. They are not having any network issues.
Has anyone seen this?

Which option we choose for upgradtion/migration path

Dear All,
Currently we are running on EV 9.0.3 and on same hardware we are having EV SQL DBs.
For next phase, whether we should go for migration of 9.0.3 on 64 bit hardware along with SQL database .
or we should go for migration of 9.0.3 on 64 bit hardware and seperate SQL server simultaneously.
or We should first seperate SQL server on seperate server on 32 bit or 64 bit, running ev server on same Hardware of 32 bit. ( only SQL server migration)
and then migrate EV from old hardware to new and same time upgradinging it to 10.0.4.
Or you guys can suggest any other good options

Error while enabling user mailbox for archiving
I need a solution
While enabling user for archiving , I am getting following error message.
"An error occured enabling the mailbox mbxname .
Error: 0xc0040c93
A possible cause could be the location of the file 'mapisvc.inf' or the configuration information it contains.
Event id 3219.
*EV deployment scanner comes clean on OL version/Profile/HF/Exchange/Permissions
*mapisvc.inf is missing from both the locations.

Environment: MS EXCH 2013 2 MBX Servers, 2 CAS/HUB, Publiched via TMG. Resource Forest Domain.
EV SRV 10.0.4 R1 CU3 in VM.
We tried to deploy the office mail app in some users, but the EV owa option doesn't work properly, actually the error message appeared such as " Initialization failed"
